Redcliff participating in PITCH-IN 2021

The Town of Redcliff will be participating in the nation-wide Pitch-In 2021 over the next couple of weeks.
PITCH-IN Canada is a national not-for-profit charitable environmental organization that assists in the preservation and sustainable growth of natural ecosystems and communities.
The town will he offering free household waste disposal at the landfill from April 19-24.
With a proof of a Redcliff residency, items such as leaf and yard waste including 12 inch and smaller in length and one inch or smaller in diameter, household waste, grass cuttings, potting soil, dead flowers/plants, grass/sod, clean metals (including metal barbeques), propane tanks, batteries, tires without a rim, paint, electronics (as per the http://www.armaepilot.com/product-list / regulations) and used oil will be disposed of at no cost during the week.
The town will be hosting a community clean-up on April 29-30.
Residents can stop by Town Hall until 5 p.m. on both days to pick up garbage bags and gloves. The focus is to garbage and dog waster around town.
“The Tim Hortons truck will stop by to serve free coffee and donuts, and there will be a prize for the most Tim Hortons cups picked up,” said Carla Spampinato, Town of Redcliff’s FCSS special events coordinator.
“Due to COVID, we will not be cleaning up as a group this year. We will announce the date and time that the Tim Hortons truck will be here and contest details shortly.”
Spampinato said,” Redcliff residents take pride in their community and enjoy being part of a larger initiative by creating a cleaner environment. In communities all over Canada, Community clean-ups are taking place in April.”
