When you are a sports fan like me, it is always exciting to switch from one favourite team to the next as the seasons change. It is the hope that your teams provide excitement from season to season.
This summer as far as any cheers go for my teams has been on a downward spiral because the Blue Jays have been having a tumultuous season to the point where there is no care in watching highlights.
See you next spring Jays because there is not any hope of hitting into the promiseland.
My beloved BC Lions have shown flashes of brilliance and got out to a respectable start to and s showed some promise right our of the gate until they could not win the tight contests lately.
The boys in orange and black I think will turnaround their .500 record but they will have to play some tough, consistent football down the stretch and maybe there will be a Grey Cup mention.
It has been an average summer for excitement on TSN at night because baseball highlights gets old some nights.
What is making me excited right now is seeing ice surfaces being installed and the sound of blades digging into the ice and pucks being shot at the boards during junior training camps and around the corner NHL camps will open up.
A new hockey season is exactly what the doctor ordered for a bored sports fan.
The Vancouver Canucks will not do anything this season but still there will be some promising follow ups with other teams that made a splash in the playoffs and hopefully will not disappoint this season. See that is where the fun is at with headlines waiting on deck.
Do not get me wrong I will follow October baseball when the season is actually good but when Hockey Night in Canada comes on the fun begins for the race to the Stanley Cup.
I know baseball or football will not change their schedule lengths but sometimes it is a long off season for the fans when the arena lights shut off for good in June.
