The Foremost Theatrical Society Production will be performing the Katherine DiSavino production of Nana’s Naughty Knickers at the Foremost Community Hall on Nov. 15, 17 and 18.
The story is about a girl named Bridget who is about to become roomates with her grandmother. However, while Bridget saw this as an great opportunity to stay with her favourite nana in New York for the summer is when the show takes a turn after she finds out what grandma is up to.
She found out grandma was running an illegal boutique from the apartment where she was selling hand-made naughty knickers all the senior citizens.
“It’s a slap stick comedy,” said Kerri Buis, member of the Foremost Theatrical Society Production.
“Lots of moving set, lots of going out one door and coming in another door. It’s quite well written event though it comes across as “Nanas Naughty Knickers.” It’s not ‘R’ rated.”
The cast read over five different productions the director brought to them and felt as though this was best fit for them and having had the script since June but s ince September they have been getting together twice a week to get their line down pact.
“We’ve been trying to re-establish the plays every year in Foremost with the theatrical society,” said Buis.
“It’s different from last year’s just because of the diversity of the characters. Right now we’re only two weeks out so right we’re in full panic mode.”
Seniors will book a table as a part of their monthly get together, while a bus from Vauxhall will attending and people from Medicine Hat will make the drive down.
Tickets are available at W. Buis Holdings for $42 which includes dinner at 6:30 p.m. and showtime at 8 p.m., while cocktails will be served starting at 5:30 p.m. each night.
