Since its inception in 2020, the FMC Clean Fields Community Yields program has supported local communities across Western Canada. With over $460,000 donated to 184 organizations, this initiative has provided much-needed funds to enhance community hubs like firehalls, arenas, 4-H clubs, and local pools. By donating $0.10 per acre from eligible FMC fall herbicide sales, FMC ensures that every purchase contributes to a better future for community-serving organizations.
Once again, Bow Island’s Richardson Pioneer proudly joins this program. They are stepping up to the plate by committing donations for every acre of FMC fall-labelled herbicide sold by October 31, 2024. This contribution will specifically support the Bow Island community’s upgrade to the Bert Knibbs Ballpark.
As Regen Roche, location manager at Richardson Pioneer, puts it, “This is something we do every year. We want to make sure we are targeting local when giving back and supporting the community that supports us. We feel very strongly about that. With the town doing their revitalization of the baseball area, we want to help support this project.”
With over 90 Ag Business Centre locations across Western Canada, Richardson Pioneer plays a crucial role in moving grains and oilseeds while supporting innovation and sustainability. Their commitment to investing in local communities is a testament to their dedication to positive community impact. Last year alone, FMC donated $160,500 to 72 community organizations across Western Canada, thanks to the support of local retailers who take part in their program and producers who chose FMC fall herbicides.
