RCMP investigate theft from helium recovery facility

On Dec. 24, 2024 Brooks RCMP received a report of a large theft from the Royal Helium Production facility in Newell County. Unknown suspects(s) cut a large hole into the building and removed several large and expensive pieces of equipment. These items are extremely unique and have limited value outside of their intended use.

While Brooks RCMP investigate, they are asking for assistance from the public in locating items which are described as:

• Extrel Mass Spectrometer Analyzer;

• Binary Gas Analyzer;

• Hydrogen and Moisture Analyzers;

• PSA Compressor Package;

• Instrument Air Skid;

• 4 or 5 Toshiba VFD
