Mark your calendars for one of Bow Island’s most beloved events! On Saturday, January 25, the Bow Island Elks will host their 34th Annual Steak Supper and Auction — a night full of delicious food, lively bidding, and most importantly, community impact. This is your chance to enjoy a fantastic evening while making a difference in the lives of many.

For over three decades, the Bow Island Elks have united the community for this annual event, ensuring that proceeds are reinvested back into local initiatives. The Elks’ reputation as a dedicated community pillar shines through their support of countless local programs. Here’s just a glimpse of how your attendance and donations will help the community this year:

• 4H Clubs

• 40 Mile Food Bank

• Meals on Wheels

• Trees of Hope

• HALO Air Ambulance

• Bow Island and District Hospital

• Fire and Ambulance Services

• Bow Island Minor Hockey and Baseball

• Quonset Days

• Local Schools and Youth Programs

Last year alone, the generosity of attendees and donors allowed the Bow Island Elks to give back nearly $30,000 to essential causes that uplift families, youth, and individuals in need. This year, they aim to surpass that milestone with your help.

The Elks of Canada was founded on September 26, 1912, in Vancouver, B.C., and incorporated under a special Dominion of Canada Charter. As the largest all-Canadian fraternal organization, they have grown to over 200 lodges with more than 7,000 members. Although not affiliated with the American Elks, they share a common history and maintain a friendly relationship. The Elks of Canada are committed to being a progressive, family-focused organization that meets community and member needs. In 1998, they began admitting women, reflecting their inclusive vision. With a central mission to serve and uplift, the Elks support a variety of charitable initiatives, from youth programs to medical aid and community events.

So, get your appetite and bidding arm ready for January 25 and join the Bow Island Elks for a night to remember! Tickets, at just $50 each, are available now by calling Brett Wozniak at 403-952-8374. Together, we can make this year’s fundraiser the most successful one yet. Support local. Support the Bow Island Elks. And make a lasting impact on your community.
