Irvine 4-H compete at Medicine Hat Beef Pen Show

The Irvine 4-H Club celebrated the holiday season by having a Christmas Party on December 2, hosted by Robertson’s. We had a team grooming workshop to prepare for the upcoming Pen Show, where we learned how to groom a cow as a team in a competition. After our workshop, we had a fun gift exchange. At the Medicine Hat Beef Pen Show, Irvine 4-H Club was represented by 10 members in the 4-H show as well as seven teams competing in the Team Grooming portion of the show. Two teams in Junior, three Intermediate teams, and two teams in Senior.

In 1st place for Juniors was Greeley Robertson, Walker Lightbown, and Luke Olson. In Intermediate, Irvine 4-H placed in 1st with Devyn Lightbown, Senya Hietamaa, and Levi Quaschnick as well as 2nd place with Willow Munsch, Tayla Bates, and Emi Hietamaa. In Senior, 2nd place was taken home by Katelyn Sheppard, Abby Munsch, and Kinzy Quaschnick.
