Both the Town of Bow Island and the County of Forty Mile have approved a partnership agreement that also includes the Village of Foremost for the purchase of a residence for local physicians.
Both municipalities will contribute 45.5 percent, or $152,483.96, towards the purchase of the home.
The Village of Foremost, which has not yet held a vote on the agreement, would contribute $30,161.66, or nine percent of the cost.
Included in the expenses that will be shared by the municipalities are landscaping costs.
Bow Island mayor, Gordon Reynolds said the physicians would lease the home and would be responsible for maintaining the property.
The local doctors have been occupying the residence since August, and Reynolds said they are in the midst of finalizing the agreement.
