The province’s “one-stop shop” for agricultural inquiries continues to help Albertans source information and connect to the appropriate departments and programs.

Alberta farmers, ranchers, ag businesses and rural residents can find the answers they need through 310-FARM, an agricultural information line operated by the Government of Alberta.

The information and referral service acts as a first point of contact and is staffed by resource agents whose knowledge in the agricultural industry, helps guide callers through provincial programs, regulatory requirements and available supports.

These resource agents are able to answer a wide range of inquiries, including in the areas of programs and financial supports, livestock and premises, regulations and compliance, farming operation and resources and advocacy and dispute resolution. They can connect callers to the proper people, links and departments or industry contacts to ensure producers, farmers, ranchers and ag businesses are accessing the programs and information they need.

Previously known as the Ag-Info Centre, 310-FARM supports important agricultural programs, including the Alberta Farm Fuel Benefit, Premises Identification Program and the Farmers’ Advocate Office.

310-FARM was first launched in the spring of 2006 by Alberta Agriculture and Irrigation and continues to assist farmers, ranchers, ag businesses and rural residents with agricultural inquiries and accessing information.

Albertans can call 310-FARM (3276) or call (403) 742-7901 outside of Alberta, Monday to Friday between 8:15 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. or  can also send inquiries via email at 310farm@gov.ab.ca
