Bow Island Elks Men’s Golf Tournament set for May 31

Get ready for the Bow Island Elks Men’s Golf Tournament on Sunday, May 31, at Bow Island Golf Club.

Registration begins at 9 a.m., with a shotgun start scheduled for 10 a.m. The tournament will be played in medal play format, also known as stroke play, where every shot counts toward a golfer’s final score.

The entry fee is $100 per golfer. Players may sign up as individuals or register in groups of two, three, or four.

Bow Island Golf Club General Manager Brendan Smith says the tournament continues to be a popular community event.

“We are really looking forward to hosting the Elks Men’s Golf Tournament on May 31st,” he notes. “It is always a great day of golf, food, and community support. We encourage golfers of all skill levels to sign up, whether they want to register on their own or with a group. With 18 holes of golf, two $5,000 hole-in-one chances, a steak supper, and prizes afterward, it should be a fun and exciting day for everyone involved.”

Golfers interested in taking part are asked to register by Thursday, May 28. Registration can be completed by calling the pro shop at 403-545-2718 or by stopping by the course in person.

With competitive play, major prize chances, and a community meal to wrap up the day, the Bow Island Elks Men’s Golf Tournament is shaping up to be one of the local highlights of the spring golf season.
