As of around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday night, all eastbound lanes reopened after two semi trucks collided earlier in the day between Highway 1 and Range Road 101.

RCMP were dispatched to a  collision involving two semi-trucks at 12:50 p.m. on Wednesday . Both semis were travelling eastbound on the Trans Canada Highway when one semi  appeared to have collided with the rear of the other at Highway 1 and Range Road 101.

One driver was transported via ground ambulance and the other by HALO air ambulance. Injuries have not been determined.

Eastbound traffic is being diverted near Range Road 100 and will not be able to get through the collision area.

A collision analyst is en route to the scene. The traffic diversion is expected to be several hours while the RCMP conduct a scene examination. An update will be provided when able.
