The occupants of the 32 trailers taking part in the 51st annual Airstream trailer rally, being held in Bow Island this weekend are very appreciative the Town has allowed them to use the multiplex in case of inclement weather.
Garry Goudie, from Carstairs, said the Town staff was extremely accommodating for the group.
“They have provided us with a very beautiful hall to use. This is something we don’t always get,” said Goudie.
The group, Hands Across the Border, includes Airstream trailer users from Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Montana, who gather twice a year for a rally.
While some of the campers spent the rainy Saturday morning visiting and playing games at the multiplex, others went to tour the museum at Etzikom and Medalta in Medicine Hat.
The heavy rain, that was expected to last for much of the weekend, sure did not put a damper on their spirits.
It is a lot of fun. Our club is all about friendship and travel,” said Goudie.
