Community Bible Church officially took position of their new home in the building that previously housed the Bow Island Bowling Centre on Nov. 1, and since that time, volunteers have been busy renovating it in time for a concert on Nov. 25.
Besides building two meeting rooms, a new stage is being installed, as wells as a sound booth and enough seating for approximately 250 people.
“When this building came available, it was at the right time and the right price for us,” said Tineke Solberg, who added the new facility will be re-branded as the Island of Hope.
“This is going to be a multi-purpose building with a good sound stage and two meeting rooms. We want this to be a place for the whole community,” she added.
The first event to be held in the new building will be a blue grass/gospel concert by The Glory Boys on Nov. 25.
Their first Sunday service will be held on Dec. 6.
