Business as usual for 40-Mile Food Bank this Holiday Season

County of Forty Mile Food Bank is heading into the Christmas season with no changes to operations.

Call volume from clients is near normal this year.

“There has been no big changes in overall average usage of the Food Bank,” said Rob Van Roessel, Food Bank president.

Food supply remain in good shape.

“There have been a number of groups that have collected food in various ways for the Food Bank the last few weeks,” he said.

Clients can contact the Food Bank hotline at (403) 957-1075 to request a hamper pick up, while information is collected based on the make up of the  household and hampers are then sorted by the volunteers.

The Food Bank is accepting  cash donations, an E-transfer can be made to 40milefoodbank@gmail.com and a cheque can be made to Box 1244, Bow Island, Alta T0K 0G0.
