Foremost skaters dazzle the rink at year-end carnival

This year’s round of skating lessons hasn’t been an easy one for the Foremost Skating Club, but that didn’t stop them from welcoming everyone to the arena and the jungle at their year end showcase.

From beginning skaters taking their first tentative steps to the daring spins of the advanced students, Foremost’s youth put on their costumes and took to the ice on March 14 to demonstrate the fruits of all of their hard work in a jungle-themed carnival.

Having gone much of the year without a coach, this year was a challenge, but the mentorship of the older students clearly paid off to see their younger peers on skates with smiles, and occasionally whiskers, on their faces as they skated as mice, cats, and everything in between.
