Finance Minister Nate Horner, who presented the provincial budget on Feb. 29, will be in Medicine Hat this week to discuss it with local business leaders.
The local Chamber of Commerce will host a luncheon March 6 featuring an address from Horner on the subject of provincial finances.
The event at Chinook Village begins at 11:30 a.m. with a buffet lunch and 45 minutes of remarks, followed by a question-and-answer session with Horner.
Horner, the MLA for Drumheller-Stettler, became finance minister last June after serving as the minister for Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Economic Development, which was later reformed as the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation.
