A 35-year-old man in possession of more than 150 grams of methamphetamine and 80 grams of fentanyl was arrested after being located passed out in a vehicle on the front lawn of a Redcliff home on Sept. 20.
Justin Yuhas of Medicine Hat was arrested after RCMP were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle call on the front lawn of a residence in the 300 block of Fourth Street SE, and he was located passed out inside the vehicle.
Following his arrest, police conducted a search warrant and discovered drugs, bear spray and a .22-calibre pen gun inside his vehicle.
Police seized the bear spray and firearm as well as 156 grams of methamphetamine, 83 grams of suspected cocaine and 82 grams of suspected fentanyl.
Yuhas has been charged with two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition without a licence and unsafe storage of a firearm.
As well, Yuhas also faces one charge each of possession for the purposes of trafficking cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine, as well as four counts of possession of a weapon contrary to order.
Yuhas was remanded in custody and was before provincial courts in Medicine Hat on Sept. 23.
