It’s been an exciting season for the Irvine’s girls “A” volleyball team as they celebrate a plethora of high-profile wins, including gold medals at the Fox Valley and AMS tournaments, gold in the second tier of the Notre Dame tournament, gold at the Cities tournament and bronze at the Sevens Persons tournament. Notably, the team not only claimed gold at the Southern Alberta Zones tournament – they came out of it completely undefeated!
A parent who witnessed the wins, and provided the following photos, champions the gameplay, noting that even when the team was behind or challenged by larger area schools, they worked together to rally, providing exceptional examples of teamwork and resilience. Even when a game was lost, they came back stronger than ever, proving that while you may lose a battle, you don’t necessarily lose the war.
Not to be outdone, the Girls “B” volleyball team also saw success, beating Notre Dame in the third set. Once again, spectacular teamwork was on display along with evidence of the hard work the team put in all season long.
A special thank you goes out to the coaches and volunteers for their part in the successful season.
