Hit-and-run driver sought by RCMP

A pet dog is deceased after being struck by a car as the owner was walking it through a crosswalk in Bow Island on Oct. 4.
According to a statement released by the Bow Island RCMP, the owner was walking the dog through the crosswalk at Highway Three and Centre Street on Sunday evening when the dog was struck by a silver/grey car, described as being like or similar in model to a Sunfire.
The vehicle did not stop after the collision and RCMP have not yet located the driver of the vehicle.

Also, the RCMP remind the public to be cautious when crossing the street as a pedestrian and to be vigilant while driving.
