Government issues province-wide state of emergency

With wildfires burning out of control in the Fort McMurray region, forcing the evacuation of more than 80,000 people, other fires burning in northern Alberta, and much of the province in tinder-dry conditions, the Alberta government has issued a province-wide state-of-emergency, allowing the provincial government to access more resources.
