Redcliff RCMP are investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision after an accident claimed the life of a 64-year-old female on Monday afternoon.
RCMP were called to the scene at 2:15 p.m. on Jan. 7 just north of Township Road 132 after a northbound semi-truck going northbound on Highway 41 North collided with a south bound sedan. The 64-year-old female died as a result of her injuries, while the male semi-truck driver was treated for minor injuries on scene. The cause of death is still under investigation at this time, but charges are not expected to be laid. Traffic was diverted for several hours following the accident through Range Road 43. Highway 41 was re-opened as of 11 p.m. Monday night.
