Redcliff council approves project money transfers an a cancelled project

Redcliff town council approved a few money transfers for projects at their first meeting of 2021 on Jan 11.
CCTV inspection program
Council passed Coun. Shauna Gale’s motion to transfer an amount of $58,190.24 from the sanitary sewer system reserve to for the CCTV (Closed Circuit TV) inspection program. The program assess pipeline conditions in sewers.
Cancelled project
Council approved Coun. Cathy Crozier’s motion
to cancel the Main Street project between Sangster Crescent and Redcliff Way and its grant application until all the studies are done and the capital budget is approved.
Third Street and Third Avenue N.W. lift station
Coun. Jim Steinke moved to amend the budget for Third Street and Third Avenue N.W. lift station to be no more than $1,215,037. Council approved the motion.
Skateboard park project
Council approved Coun. Gale’s motion to amend the budget to now read no more than $454,245 for the skateboard project.
Town CAO Phyllis Forsyth said the anticipated completion date of the project is April 30.
