All of the Alberta was entrenched in frigid temperatures a couple of weeks ago.
However, no water main breaks or any other damage was done in Cypress County.
“Thankfully we weren’t too adversely affected by the cold snap, we didn’t experience any water main breaks,” said Kim Dalton, Cypress County’s director of public works.
“Over the course of the week our team was scheduled to take in to account the weather and maximize safety while ensuring necessary tasks were completed. Many of our team work in vehicles (graders etc.), therefore the unfavourable conditions didn’t have too much of an affect on their daily work.”
The Town of Redcliff had only a couple of residential lines freeze up.
