Joy of Giving using same format as last year

Due to the uncertainty of COVID, the annual Joy of Giving is going to continue with the changes that were made last year to the campaign.

The campaign will continue with monetary only donations this year, which in turn will be converted in Bow Island Chamber bucks.

“The Chamber bucks will be given to families in need this Christmas season to do their own shopping in local stores,”a ccording to the advertisement.

Donation boxes will be at local businesses from Nov. 1 to Dec. 9 and can also be dropped off at the Bow Island Post Office or E-transfers can be sent to BI.BurdettJoyofGiving@gmail.com

Family nominations deadline is Dec. 1 and can be submitted to Alta Magee by texting or calling her at(403) 502-9092.

Chamber bucks will be handed out to nominated families on Dec. 10 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bow Island.
