The 2024 Taste of Bow Island has wrapped up and it was a delicious success. The sold out farm-to-table experience brought people together for a family-style feast that showcased local flavours.

“It was a great event, well attended – a really good experience,” says Chad Ross, President of the Bow Island Chamber of Commerce. “We had several local dignitaries including MLA Hunter, Mayor Reynolds, and one of the councillors from Foremost. Guests attended from Medicine Hat and Taber and also included representation from Taber Economic Development. There was a lot of support from the community.”

The meal included Greek salad as the starter from Peter’s Family Restaurant. Premium Sausage provided meat, cheese, crackers, and charcuterie. Foremost Pub and Grill provided schnitzel. Ross gives a shout out to Brenda Legget, who prepared the vegetables and some of the sausages. Also adding to the menu was Island Furniture, who prepared the locally donated brisket.

“All the vegetables came from our region and the food was donated from local farmers,” notes Ross.

Another local delight was the music that followed dinner. Guests enjoyed the Right Click band at the Bow Theatre after supper.
