Town of Bow Island office relocated

The Town of Bow Island Office has relocated to a new office this week.

The office will be closed on Thursday, March 19 and Friday, March 20 while the Town completes the move.

Beginning Monday, March 23, the Town Office will reopen to the public at our new location at the Harry Strom Provincial Building (802 6th Street East – located between Silver Sage Motel and Centex Gas Station, the same building as Albert Health Services & Western Falcon).

“We look forward to welcoming you to our new office and continuing to serve our community from this great new space,” reads a statement from the Town. “Thank you for your patience during the transition, and we can’t wait to see you there.”

Centennial Park & Campground registration now online

The Town of Bow Island has announced that you can now reserve your campsite online at Centennial Park & Campground using our new Campspot registration system.

No more cash collection — simply go online, choose the site that suits you best, pay securely, and you’re all set.

“Centennial Park & Campground is your home away from home, so if you have family or friends planning a visit, let them know they can now conveniently book their stay online in advance,” reads a statement from the Town. “Book your spot today and start planning your getaway.” 

County of Forty Mile dust abatement services

Dust abatement services season is here. Apply now – applications and payment are due April 30. Please be advised that updates have been made to the Dust Abatement Policy. All applicants are required to review the revised policy before submitting an application. Online applications are now being accepted.

Great Twine Round-Up underway for ag clubs

It’s time for The Great Twine Round-Up.

A total of $12,000 is up for grabs to 4-H clubs and ag charities in this recycling program run by Cleanfarms Inc. through the Alberta Ag-Plastic Recycle-It! Pilot.

The contest runs until the end of May. Find all the details at greattwineroundup.ca

The more bags you drop off, the more entries you’ll have. You’ll also be helping to keep used baler twine out of landfills and burn piles.
