Manyberries Rodeo returns for year two – bigger, better and full of Western fun

The countdown is on! The Manyberries Rodeo is thrilled to welcome everyone back on August 21 & 22, for another unforgettable weekend celebrating western heritage, community spirit, and family fun.

After an incredible comeback in 2025 that welcomed more than 1,100 spectators, organizers are excited to build on that success with an even bigger lineup of events for all ages. What began as the return of a beloved community tradition has quickly become one of southeastern Alberta’s must-attend summer events.

“This is only our second year back after more than 25 years, and the support from our volunteers, sponsors, competitors, and visitors has been overwhelming,” said the organizing committee. “Seeing families, friends, and neighbours come together to celebrate our western roots made last year’s event incredibly special. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back for an even bigger celebration this year.”

The weekend kicks off on Friday, August 21, with camping setup beginning at noon, the Kid Zone opening at 4 p.m., and the first evening of rodeo action at 6 p.m. Concessions, a variety of food trucks, and the beer gardens open at 4 p.m., with live entertainment by Kickin’ Dirt keeping the celebration going long after the final ride.

Saturday promises a full day of western excitement with a pancake breakfast, the popular Ranch Rig Show & Shine, rodeo slack, an outdoor market, kid zone activities, pasture roping, and an action-packed evening rodeo beginning at 5 p.m.

One of the highlights returning this year is pasture roping. After making its debut at last year’s rodeo, it quickly became a fan favourite and showcased the authentic ranching skills that are such an important part of life in southern Alberta.

Whether you’re a lifelong rodeo enthusiast or attending for the very first time, there truly is something for everyone. Enjoy delicious food from local concessions and food trucks, browse unique market vendors, cheer on talented competitors, and spend the weekend making memories with family and friends.

Visitors can also purchase tickets for the Manyberries Rodeo Raffle, featuring cash prizes of $1,000, $750, and $500, while admiring an impressive collection of vehicles at the Ranch Rig Show & Shine.
