It’s been a long winter and an even longer spring, but it’s time to get ready for summer! What better way is there to prepare for the warmer months ahead than indulging in local treats and goods at the Spring Into Summer Market? It takes place on May 7 at the Foremost Community Hall from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Don’t miss out!

Heather Walsh, who sits on the Chamber Board and is a Market Committee member, says shoppers can expect a variety of local vendors with baking, wood, pottery, SuperPatch, Cutco, western items, crochet, MaryKay, Partylite candles, clothing, and homemade soaps. An afternoon coffee and snack will be available for purchase.

“There will also be two fundraising tables,” she adds.  “Come for a visit with your neighbours. Bring your mother for an early Mother’s Day outing. A fundraising supper will be provided by the Foremost School Class of 2027. Please come out and support their efforts. If you need to take a meal to the field that night, they offer an easy solution for you. Simply text your preorder to 403-647-1128.”

There is still room to register as a vendor. Tables are $50 each (with a discounted rate for Foremost & District Chamber Members) and can be reserved by emailing  chamber4most@gmail.com or calling 403-867-3077.

Walsh notes, “We strive to continue to provide these markets as an opportunity to allow local, home-based businesses and community groups a chance to be face to face with customers, showcase their products and services, and develop strong relationships for their business into the future.”

The market typically draws between 20-30 vendors, and shoppers flock in from across the villages, towns, and hamlets.

Mark your calendar and plan to attend.
