The 5th annual Heritage Gather takes place at the Dunmore Equestrian Centre from July 3-5. Whether you have attended in the past or are attending for the first time, there is plenty to enjoy.
“We have a lot of the same things from previous years,” says event representative Kelly Creasy, “but we also have some things you simply won’t see anywhere else!” As an example, he points to appearances from entertainer Joel Lybbert and Indy, the buffalo Lybbert raised and rides.
Creasy shares that there will also be powwow, rope making demonstrations, cultural crafts in a teepee, booths with artisan goods – and of course, “really good rodeo action.”
He adds, “The other big thing is we have live bands in the indoor arena. Rent to Own is playing on Friday night, and Phoenix is playing Saturday. Everybody should come out and have a good time!
Mark your calendar for this popular event where Indigenous and Western culture and rodeo skills will be on display. Get involved in the workshops, cheer the riders from the stands, refresh at the food trucks and beer gardens, and enjoy quality time with your community.
