Issues separatists do not want to discuss

Posted on April 16, 2026 by Ryan Dahlman

On Nov. 15, 2025, I mailed a letter to the advertised mailing address of an Alberta separatist organization. The letter set out 19 issues of national governance, and requested answers to 36 questions arising from the 19 issues. Five months on, I have received no reply.

On Feb. 15, 2026, I sent a copy of the Nov. 15, 2025 letter to the separatists’ leader, whose name I had learned after sending the original letter. Two months on, I have received no reply.

My conclusion is these separatists refuse to discuss the 19 issues of national governance. There are many more than 19 such issues, but the 19 in my letter are, I suggest, useful to appraise the knowledge, preparation, and intentions these separatists want you to believe they will use to our advantage in an independent Alberta.

Here are issues 1 and 2, and five questions the separatists do not want to answer.

Issue One: Embassies and Consulates – An independent Alberta will need embassies in each of the 197(+/-) countries on Earth. Consulates, in addition to an embassy, will be needed in larger countries. Many cities have hugely expensive commercial real estate, such as Tokyo, London, Paris, and Washington D.C. Embassies and consulates require secure communications, plus building security staff, operational staff, and support staff, some of whom, such as security staff are an expense 24/7/365 days per year.

Question One (a): How much will it cost an independent Alberta to establish, staff and equip more than 200 embassies and consulates, world-wide?

Question One (b): How much will it cost, annually, to operate Alberta’s embassies and consulates?

Issue Two: Armed Forces – An independent Alberta will need an army and an air force.

Question 2 (a): From where will an independent Alberta recruit sufficient numbers of trained senior military personnel with which to start an army and an air force?

Question 2(b): How many people will be required to fully staff Alberta’s army and its air force?

Question 2(c): What are the costs to establish and to equip an army and an air force and thereafter, to maintain them to currently acceptable standards?
