The annual Bow Island Health Foundation garage sale was once again a success, raising $9,500 for education and staff wellness initiatives, according to Kim McDonald, administrative assistant.
“Every year, the amount varies, but it all helps out with our Education and Staff Wellness Fund,” she said.
McDonald also said that BIHF paid it forward by donating leftover items to other organizations. These include:
Phoenix Safe House – Luggage
Lutheran church – Quilting supplies
Children’s Festival – Glassware
Library – Toys
AJ’s Loan Cupboard – Wheelchair and walkers
Bow Island Health Centre Auxiliary – Wool
Alfred Egan Home – Artwork
SPCA – Towels and blankets
Bow Island Health Centre Food Services – China
