County of Forty Mile fire chief, Nathan Cote issued a statement on Friday morning that due to the recent precipitation in the region, the fire ban has been downgraded to a fire advisory.
The county will once again be issuing fire permits, as a result. As well, domestic burning barrels and fire pits ware being permitted, but must be monitored.
The fire advisory will remain in effect until further notice.
