A number of Bow Island graduates celebrated their milestone recently with a Dry Grad that involved a trip to Lethbridge for some paintballing, trampoline fun,  and a trip to LA Escape.
Thirty five grads took part in the dry grad and raised the funds themselves to make it happen. They raised $5,000 through bottle drives, battery collection, and other fundraisers and received $1,000 through private donations. Some money was also raised from ticket sales for the event.
“They even picked rocks to raise money, but only had to do it for two hours each,” said parent, Ingrid Dekker.
Dry grad is an option for celebration for graduates that is alcohol-free.
