CFB Suffield is confirming that a BATUS soldier was struck Tuesday morning by a semi-truck on Hwy. 884 right at the entrance to the base. The Suffield Fire Department and base’s 1 Field Ambulance were the first responders on the scene. And Military Police are helping the Redcliff RCMP with the investigation.
The base could not confirm the condition of the soldier at this time, who was transported to Medicine Hat Regional Hospital with serious injuries.
The investigation is ongoing at the scene and the Commentator/Courier will update details as they become known.
