Two sent to hospital after vehicle leaves highway, ends up in coulee

Two people were transported to Bow Island Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries on Tuesday morning following a single-vehicle collision on Highway 879.
According to an RCMP statement, Bow Island RCMP responded to the collision on Highway 879, north of Bow Island at 8:30 a.m. on July 25. The collision occurred when the vehicle left the highway and came to rest in a coulee.
The two occupants, a 42-year-old female and a four-year-old male were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the collision is under investigation, but drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors.
The identity of those involved is being withheld at this time.
