Longtime trustee Arnold Frank and relative newcomer Pam Cursons, who was acclaimed in the byelection this past spring in Ward 4 (Redcliff-Ralston-Jenner), were both re-elected to the PRSD board on Monday, defeating challenger Meredith Conboy.
Frank was first elected in Ward 4 in 2001. He was gratified local voters have continued to show confidence in him these past 16 years.
“I have tried to represent them as well as I possibly could,” said Frank, who won the most votes in the final tally. “I take the role seriously, and I think it is important the children in this community have good representation and someone who cares deeply about their well-being.”
Meredith Conboy felt her election experience was a great one, and voters could possibly hear from her again in four years.
“It’s been an amazing experience,” she said. “I felt so much love from my friends, family and community … The results were close.”
Pam Cursons appreciated Conboy and Frank both for running, and looked forward to representing her ward for the next four years.
“I would like to thank everybody who came out and showed their support for me in this election,” she said. “I am very happy and proud to be representing the children and families in our ward.”
