Two charged with stealing dogs from rural property

Bow Island/Foremost RCMP have made two arrests following an investigation of dogs being stolen that first occurred in August.
On Aug. 13, RCMP started receiving complaints of dogs being stolen from a rural residence in the County of Forty Mile. At that time, two dogs had been stolen from the same person and through the investigation, were recovered just over a month later.
On oct. 8, RCMP received a complaint that the same dogs were stolen from the same property.
RCMP have arrested Shelley Stupnikoff and Leah Hemlow within minutes of the offence taking place.
Stupnikoff has been charged with three counts of theft under $5,000 and Hemlow with one count of theft under $5,000.
