The County of 40 Mile went through the agenda in orderly fashion at the Nov. 22 meeting.
Safety Manual Changes
The county’s administration gave council an overview to the safety manual changes and updates. Updated: Health and safety committee members, incident/ near miss investigation report, safety concerns reporting form and the health and safety committee members.
Additions: safe work practices fot ATV, driving techniques, weed cutter, tractor trailers. Safety job procedures: Loading and unliading equipment on and off trailers, roadside mower, chainsaws, ATV spraying or seeding, changing blade on mowers and grader servicing. Policies: county safety, hazard assessment, inspection, investigation, records and statistics, safety training and inspection were discussed.
Lease agreements
The county currently owns two parcels of lanad that are presently being leased on three-year term basis. The leases are up for renewel in 2018.
Public works has a gravel pit on SE-22-05-14-W4 and would like to keep the parcel for an additional three years in order to provide to mine the remaining gravel at the location.
SE-13-05-06-W4 is a quarter of grassland south of Manyberries. There is also a well located on this quarter in which county received a yearly royal payment.
Council approved the review of the annual rental fee and the adjustment and the renewal for three years.
F.C.S.S 2018 funding agreement
Council approved the 2018 contribution for the program at an amount of $27,116.25.
