The Town of Redcliff is hosting the Coats for Kids and Families Campaign for those that need warmer clothing over the winter season. The campaign was started by the United Way in 1992 after recognizing the need for warm clothing in the winter months.
“There is a need in our community for warm winter clothing,” said Carla Spampinato, Town of Redcliff’s FCSS/special events coordinator.
“Especially with winter coming a bit early this year. If you are in need of a warm jacket, mitts or a touque for yourself, your children or your neighbour earlier than Dec. 13, please call FCSS and we’ll help you out.”
Gently worn or new coats will be accepted at town hall from until Dec. 8, while from Dec. 13-15 (8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.) and on the 16th from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m., families can come pick up coats.
