While Bow Island/
Burdett Chamber of Commerce did not host their in-person small business awards night a couple weeks ago, trophies were still dropped off to businesses.
Bow Island Auto Service was recognized with the 2020 Business of the Year Award.
“We’re pretty honored and we’re grateful to all of our customers for their loyalty,” said Joe Torscher, who has co-owned the business with Lynn Degenstein for almost seven years.
Torscher says their focus has been trying to give their customers quality and prompt service.
“We like to think we offer fair and friendly service,” said Torscher.
The business offers all types of maintenance as well as insurance and out-of-province inspections.
The majority of the customers are from Bow Island and some from Redcliff.
“We’ve got a pretty good mix,” said Torscher.
The other awards during National Small Business Week included:
Long Service Award- Bow Island Hardware
