Another historic structure on main street in Foremost. Built in 1929 this building boasted the only dance hall in western Canada with a spring floor. It is said that when the Saturday night dances were held, you could actually see the floor move. The floor springs are still seen in the building’s basement. In later years the building operated as the Midland Theatre, showing movies two nights a week. The north half of the front was used as the telephone exchange office. Since the 1980’s, several restaurants have operated there. Living quarters were constructed in the balcony area of the theatre.
