RCMP asking for the public’s assistance in finding missing high altitude imaging balloon

Redcliff RCMP are asking the public to be on the look out for a high altitude imaging balloon. The balloon is operated by the University of Lethbridge and the research team lost contact with the balloon at 10,000 feet somewhere southwest of Suffield. The equipment on the balloon is within a wooden box approximately three feet in size and a bright orange parachute attached.

People are to call Redcliff RCMP at (403) 548-2288 if the balloon is found.
