Brad Straty is out after six months of being Cypress County’s emergency services coordinator and fire chief.
“Cypress County appreciates Mr. Straty’s tenure with our organization. We thank him for his knowledge and expertise and wish him well in his future endeavours,” Cypress County said in a statement.
Cypress County could not release any further details on Straty’s departure.
The county’s director of municipal services Jeffrey Dowling and chief administrative officer
Tarolyn Aaserud will oversee those duties until a replacement is found.
Straty had 34 years’ experience in emergency services, including the last 18 years as a fire chief or deputy fire chief in the County of Two Hills.
The timeline for filling the position is undetermined.
