Two Hatters killed in Highway 3 crash

Two Hatters died in a head-on collision between a pick-up and a tractor trailer on Highway 3 near Seven Persons, the Redcliff RCMP reported.

The crash happened at 8 p.m. on March 20, when RCMP say, the eastbound passenger vehicle crossed the centre line and was struck by the westbound transport truck.

Two occupants of the Chevrolet pick-up, a 79-year-old man and 73-year-old female, were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Traffic was routed around the scene as an RCMP collision reconstructionist investigated and the vehicles were removed. No other information was released. The investigation is ongoing.
