New owners take over established automotive shop

Burgess Automotive is located in Bow Island.
“We offer mechanical repairs, maintenance, diagnostic, and auto part sales,” said Erik Bouw, current owner of Burgess Automotive.

Burgess Automotive, Bouw says, was originally established in 1985 by Robert Burgess and Burgess ran the business for 39 years. In May 2024, however, Bouw says, he and Trista Bouw bought Burgess Automotive after working there six years.

“I always admired Rob and how he built the business from the ground up and I wished I could be in his shoes one day,” said Bouw. “Over the years of talking it over, Rob was ready to retire, and I was ready to take over his legacy. Burgess Automotive is now Burgess Automotive Est. 2024 Ltd. and even though it has a new name, it still has the same quality of service for new and returning customers alike,” said Bouw. “We have regular clients who are happy with the services and have been loyal customers for years. We have also acquired new customers that have been pleased with our work.”

Bouw says that people who want more information about Burgess Automotive  can check the local newspaper or the Burgess Automotive Facebook, but word of mouth is truly their biggest forum.

“At Burgess Automotive, we pride ourselves in doing honest work in a friendly environment,” said Bouw. “We want to make sure our customers are satisfied with the continued care of their vehicle.”
