The always anticipated St. Michael’s Supper and Auction is set for December 6. Now in its 22nd year, the celebration and fundraiser that unites the community and school is going as strong as ever.
The annual event is the school’s only fundraiser that supports programs and supplies for the students such as field trips, music, art materials, athletics, and library resources. Without the funds raised through this auction, many enriching activities and resources would not be possible for the students.
James MacLean, a local crowd favourite, will wield the gavel as the auctioneer. Known for his engaging style and deep ties to Bow Island, James ensures the auction is a highlight of the evening. Complementing his presence are the high school students, who play a role by presenting auction items. Whether it’s a student-crafted art piece, a gift basket filled with goods from local businesses, a versatile gift card, or any of the other hotly anticipated items, each one has the potential to spark rounds of lively bids.
The impact of the supper and auction extends beyond the school walls. By donating a portion of the proceeds to the local food bank, the event gives back to the community, reinforcing a cycle of support and goodwill.
Whether you’re a business owner looking to sponsor with cash (three levels of sponsorship are available), a donor, or a resident eager to bid, there’s a place for you at this event. Mark your calendars for Friday, December 6. The silent auction kicks off at 5:30 p.m., followed by a delicious supper from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., and the live auction at 7 p.m.
St. Michael’s School extends its deepest gratitude to the community, donors, sponsors, and guests. Your involvement makes a significant difference, and there’s still time to join in. Whether you attend, donate, or share this event with others, your support is invaluable.
