The Women in Business Inspire Award celebrates the spirit of leadership, mentorship, and resilience within our community. This recognition honours women who have conquered challenges while uplifting and motivating those around them.

This year, there are a total of seven nominees, including Pamela Kunz, General Manager at Safety Buzz Campus in Dunmore.

“Honestly, when I learned I was a nominee, I was a little awestruck,” says Kunz. She laughs and adds, “I might be busy and assertive, but I’m not actually used to attention on myself!”

She also feels honoured.

“In following the Women in Business organization, I have always been impressed with their Inspire Award candidates. I feel pretty humbled to now be among them.”

In her role as General Manager at Safety Buzz, Kunz wears many hats.

“I manage a variety of aspects from finance to HR. We are an organization with just shy of 20 team members. We have four departments including safety training, driving school, safety program development, and field safety services. I manage and coordinate all these daily.”

A Medicine Hat resident for 30 years, Kunz is also very active in the community and sits on three different boards. She enjoys personal and professional development and is in the process of “hopefully adding another title to my repertoire.”
