Deadline for Agri-Stability registration pushed three months to July 31

A deadline last month to register for the Agri-Stability program to guard against large income declines for farm and ranch producers has been extended until mid-summer.

“Given the pressures and uncertainties facing the agricultural sector, federal, provincial and territorial governments have agreed to extend the AgriStability enrolment deadline … to July 31, 2025, for the 2025 program year,” according to a release from Agriculture and Agri-food Canada on April 25.

Producers had faced an April 30 deadline, but will have “additional time to consider their needs and manage the impact of challenges faced by many farm operations, such as production loss, increased costs and changing market conditions.”
