Public info session about Hwy 3 twinning design in Seven Persons

An in-person public information session to learn about and provide feedback on the preliminary design for Highway 3 twinning is scheduled for Seven Persons this evening.

The drop-in session will be held in Seven Persons and will take place at the Seven Persons Community Hall from 4-7 p.m. on April 28. 

Display boards and a preliminary engineering plan are available to view online at the Government of Alberta webpage.

Community feedback is also being collected via an online survey that opened April 20. Responses will be accepted until May 12.

Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors is working toward completing the design to expand 36 kilometres of highway between Whitla and Medicine Hat from two lanes to four.

A detailed design is expected to be complete by late 2026, with construction slated to begin in 2027.
