Cornstock 2026 will run from July 23-25 at the Ken McDonald Sports Complex in Taber and the surrounding area, which includes the Legion Park and the Legion Youth Center.

Ken Holst, chief executive officer of Spider Entertainment Group, the group that is behind Cornstock, said that the artists being featured in Cornstock 2026 include Toque & Streetheart, Brother Bicker, Smoke Shadow, The Definitive, Undefined, 54-40, Sass Jordan, Harlequin, Big Wreck, Brigade, Jacks Attic, River Poets, Honeymoon Suite, Headpins, Nick Gilder & Sweeney Todd, and Colin James. The afterparty music on the Friday and Saturday of the event, Holst also said, will be provided by the Steve McQueen Band.

People, Holst added, will be able to enjoy the music provided each day and also partake in other organized activities, including a cornhole tournament.

Holst explained that Cornstock exists because he and his wife have such a great passion for music that they want to share it with others; hence Spider Entertainment is family-run and began in July 2022 with just a small outdoor concert with a little-known band called Toque and some local acts.

“That band called Toque is now one of the most sought-after bands in Canada playing Canadian classic rock,” said Holst.

The following year, Holst said, Cornstock was founded as Cornstock 23.

“We know people appreciate the event,” said Holst. “We have people that travel far distances to attend and have each year. We have people come from all over Canada and even some from the USA just for the event. People drive up to 12 hours to attend, pulling their camping trailers. Approximately 50 per cent of attendees are from out of province.”

Spider Entertainment, Holst noted, has also since gained notoriety all over Canada, and in the USA as well, with requests to do similar events in other communities.

Camping is also available, with the premier and main camping spots sold out, but overflow spots are still available.

Those who are interested in buying a General Weekend Pass or a space in overflow camping can visit: https://www.showpass.com/cornstock26/, Holst says, and those who want more information about Cornstock in general can visit: https://www.spiderentertainment.ca/shows/cornstock-2026-more-info-soon/.

“We are excited for this year’s event as we continue to appeal to a wider crowd of people,” said Holst. “The event continues to be a huge event for Taber. Not only with the economic impact, which is huge, but it is also now being recognized as one of the top classic rock music festivals in Canada.”
